Referral Program FAQ

💰 How much can I earn per referral?

Land Sales (Cash): 5% of final sale price
Residential/Commercial (Cash): 3% of final sale price
Payment Plan Purchases: ZMW 300 (Fixed)

Payment is made 30 days after the transaction closes.

✅ What makes a referral "qualified"?

A referral must meet ALL of these criteria:

New Lead: Not in our database or contacted us in the last 6 months
First Contact: You submit them BEFORE they contact us directly
Completion: Transaction closes with full payment cleared
No Spam: Lead was obtained ethically (no bulk messaging)

🚫 What can't I do as a partner?

Unless you're a licensed estate agent, you CANNOT:

❌ Negotiate prices on behalf of Leaf-Note
❌ Conduct property viewings
❌ Handle client funds or deposits
❌ Sign agreements on behalf of Leaf-Note

⏱️ When do I get paid?

Payments are processed 30 days after the transaction officially closes and all funds are cleared in our accounts. You'll receive a notification via the Partner Portal and WhatsApp.

📝 Do I need to register my business?

No! You can participate as an individual. However, you are responsible for your own tax filings (TPIN) with the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) as an independent contractor.

🔍 How do you track who referred whom?

Our CRM system timestamps every lead submission. The first person to submit a lead wins. If there's a dispute, CRM logs are the final authority.

👥 Can I refer myself or family?

Employees may participate under a separate manually signed employee referral agreement. Non-employee referrers are governed by the published Referral Program Terms. Self-referrals and referrals of immediate family members are not eligible for rewards.

📱 How do I submit a referral?

Two ways:

Partner Portal: Log in and use the "Submit Referral" form
WhatsApp: Send lead details to +260 955 869 020 (approved partners only)

🛑 Can my account be terminated?

Yes. We may terminate your account immediately for:

🚫 Fraud or misrepresentation
🚫 Spam or unethical marketing
🚫 Breach of Zambian law

Either party can also end the agreement with 7 days' notice.
