Referral Program Terms & Conditions

Version 2.2 | Last Updated: February 6, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Leaf-Note Referral Program (the "Program"). These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your participation. By registering as a Referral Partner, you agree to abide by these rules. Leaf-Note reserves the right to approve or decline any application at its sole discretion.

2. Eligibility & Registration

To participate, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older and a legal resident/business entity in Zambia.
  • Complete registration via the Leaf-Note Partner Portal or approved WhatsApp channel.
  • Receive formal approval from the Leaf-Note team before submitting leads.

Note: Employees of Leaf-Note and their immediate family members are ineligible unless authorized in writing.

3. Defining a "Qualified Referral"

A referral is considered "Qualified" (eligible for payment) only if it meets all the following criteria:

  • New Lead: The Referee must not exist in Leaf-Note's database or have engaged with Leaf-Note regarding property in the last 6 months.
  • First Contact: You must submit the lead before the Referee contacts Leaf-Note directly. Timestamps in our CRM/Portal are the final authority.
  • Completion: The transaction must be officially closed, with all required deposits or full payments cleared in Leaf-Note's accounts.
  • Exclusions: Self-referrals, cancelled deals, or leads generated through "spam" or unethical marketing are strictly excluded.

4. Referral Rewards Structure

Leaf-Note compensates Partners for introductions only. Partners must not negotiate prices or handle legal documents unless they hold a valid Zambian Estate Agency license.

Transaction Type Reward Amount Payment Trigger
Land Sales (Cash/Outright) 5% of final sale price 30 days after full payment & closing
Residential/Commercial (Cash/Owned) 3% of final sale price 30 days after full payment & closing
Payment Plan Purchases ZMW 300.00 (Fixed) 30 days after first installment & signed agreement

Note: Third-party listings are ineligible for rewards unless specifically agreed upon in writing via the Portal.

5. Partner Code of Conduct

To protect our brand and your reputation, all Partners must adhere to these standards:

  • Transparency: Do not misrepresent property features, pricing, or Leaf-Note's services.
  • Privacy: Always obtain the Referee's consent before sharing their contact details with us.
  • "Hands-Off" Policy: Unless you are a licensed agent, your role is limited to the introduction. You may not conduct viewings, handle client funds, or sign agreements on behalf of Leaf-Note.
  • Anti-Spam: No unsolicited bulk messaging. Focus on high-quality, personal connections.

6. Relationship of Parties

You are an Independent Contractor. Participation in this Program does not create an employer-employee relationship, a partnership, or a joint venture. You are responsible for your own taxes and TPIN filings as required by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).

7. Termination & Changes

Termination: Either party may end this agreement with 7 days' notice. Leaf-Note may terminate your account immediately for fraud, spam, or breach of Zambian law.

Amendments: We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Partner Portal constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the Laws of Zambia. Any disputes arising from the Program shall be resolved through Leaf-Note's internal review process (using CRM logs), and if necessary, via the competent courts in Lusaka.
